An AirShield system grows with you. You start with a starter kit and then link up to 150 wireless devices to a hub: additional detectors, controls, sirens, smoke and water detectors, home automation and even your old wired alarm. Everything comes together in the free DMSS app and stays up to date through cloud updates. In this article we set out how you expand from a starter kit to a complete system, by type of expansion.
From kit to complete system
Up to 150 devices
One hub monitors up to 150 wireless devices, so there is plenty of room to grow.
Control to suit your needs
Keypads, keyfobs, cards and panic buttons for the whole family or your staff.
More than burglary
Smoke, carbon monoxide and water leaks: the same system also monitors home safety.
Wired becomes wireless
With the Multi-Transmitter you can carry over up to 16 wired zones from your old alarm.
Where do you start?
The basis is a starter kit: hub, magnetic contact, motion detector and keyfob. With that you protect the front door and the most important room. From there you expand as needed: first the other exterior doors and the ground floor, then upper floors, outbuildings and extra functions. You set up each addition in a few minutes via the DMSS app, without any cabling.
Extra detectors for windows, doors and rooms
For every door or window there is a magnetic contact: the standard Magnet, or the Magnet Pro with a battery life of up to 5 years and a range of up to 1,400 metres. For rooms you choose the PIR, the Dual-Tech (infrared plus radar, fewest false alarms) or a PIR-Cam that takes a photo on alarm. The Glass Break Detector detects breaking glass, and outdoors the Outdoor PIR and Outdoor PIR-Cam protect your grounds.
Arm and disarm the way you want
Besides the app, you can arm and disarm with a Keypad (€ 72,50€ 59,92) or the more extensive LCD Keypad (€ 127,75€ 105,58), with a Keyfob on your key ring (four buttons: home, away, off and SOS) or with MiFare and DESFire cards. For emergencies there are the Button and the DoubleButton, a wireless panic button with two buttons to prevent accidental presses.
Sirens indoors and outdoors
The Indoor Siren (up to 105 dB(A), three volume levels) makes noise indoors, while the Outdoor Siren alerts the surroundings. The Intercom Siren is a special case: an indoor siren of up to 100 dB with two-way audio and a panic button, which allows you to listen in and talk back via the app or the alarm receiving centre.
Smoke, carbon monoxide and water
The same system also protects against fire and leaks. The Smoke Detector provides early smoke detection with a siren of 85 to 90 dB, the CO Detector shows the measured carbon monoxide level on an LCD screen, and the Leak Detector (or the Flex variant with adjustable sensitivity) sounds the alarm when there is water on the floor, for example near the washing machine or central heating boiler.
Home automation, range and your old wired alarm
With the Smart Plug (up to 16 A, with consumption metering) and the relays you can switch devices along with your alarm. If an outbuilding is far away, the Repeater extends the range by up to 1,600 metres in open field and supports up to 128 accessories. And do you still have a wired alarm system installed? The Multi-Transmitter connects up to 16 wired zones and 4 relay outputs wirelessly to your AirShield hub; the PoE variant can also be wired via the network. This way you do not have to throw away good wired detectors.
Good to know all prices and stock levels mentioned are shown live in our webshop, and through cloud updates (OTA) not only the hub but every connected device stays up to date.
