Our M&C cylinders are cylinder locks that meet the strictest security standards. M&C continuously innovates in the field of cylinder locks and designs them to withstand various burglary methods, such as core pulling, drilling, the impressioning technique, lock picking and the bump method. All M&C cylinders in our range have the SKG 3-star quality mark, which means they have successfully passed the toughest burglary test of Stichting Kwaliteit Gevelbouw (SKG).

Key features of M&C cylinders

Our M&C cylinders have an emergency and danger function, which means they can be operated from both sides, even if a key is in the lock on the other side. In addition, each cylinder is fitted with a hardened steel bridge, which makes them virtually unbreakable, even without additional door hardware. With every set you also receive a key certificate, with which you can have a key and/or cylinder duplicated at authorised dealers.

M&C Condor vs. Matrix

The M&C Matrix and M&C Condor cylinders are both of high quality and meet different needs. The M&C Matrix stands out with a cut key, similar to traditional keys. The M&C Condor has a reversible key with a raised profile, which makes copying more difficult and offers extra protection against lock picking. The Condor also has advanced technologies such as a snake bar and side pins for increased protection. Despite their differences, both cylinders have the SKG 3-star quality mark, anti-core-pulling protection, a hardened steel bridge, an emergency and danger function, drill and lock picking protection and a key certificate. Both are available in nickel, brass and black.

Are M&C cylinder locks suitable for smart locks?

All M&C cylinders can be operated from both sides, which makes them suitable for most smart locks. If in doubt, you can contact our customer service.

Step-by-step guide: How do I measure my cylinder?

To determine the correct cylinder size, you need to measure both the inner and the outer dimension.

  1. Decide whether to measure the cylinder with or without removing it from the door. For a quick measurement, leave the cylinder in the door; for an accurate measurement, remove the cylinder.
  2. Measuring the cylinder while it is in the door:
Look at the door from the narrow side where the lock is visible and measure the distance from the centre of the cylinder screw to the flat side of the door hardware on the inside and outside of the door.
  3. Measuring the cylinder by removing it from the door:
Unscrew the cylinder screw, remove the cylinder and measure the inner and outer dimensions by determining the distance from the centre of the cylinder screw to both ends of the cylinder.
  4. Note the cylinder size:
Write down the inner and outer dimensions in millimetres, for example 32/32. Also check that the cylinder does not protrude more than 3 mm beyond the door hardware on the outside, for optimal security.
