Each hazard has its own detector
A good alarm system does not only watch for burglary. With the AirShield detectors you monitor doors and windows, movement in a room, breaking glass, water leaks and fire or carbon monoxide. Everything works wirelessly on 868 MHz with two-way communication and AES128, and pairs with the same AirShield hub. You receive a notification straight away in the free DMSS app.
Which detector do you need?
Doors and windows
A magnetic contact reports whether a door or window is opened. Choose the Magnet for the basics, the Magnet Pro for the longest battery life and the greatest range, or the Magnet Plus, which already warns on vibration or forcing.
Movement in a room
A motion detector covers an entire room. The PIR is the affordable entry-level model, the Dual-Tech gives the lowest chance of false alarms and the PIR-Cam takes HD photos when an alarm is triggered.
Windows and display cabinets
The Glass Break Detector recognises the sound of breaking glass up to 9 m. Ideal for large windows, glass facades and shop windows, where a motion detector would react too late.
Water leakage
A water detector raises the alarm immediately in the event of a leak, at a washing machine, dishwasher or boiler room. Choose the Leak Detector for the floor or the Flex with adjustable sensitivity.
Fire and gas
The Smoke Detector warns of smoke and an early fire, the CO Detector of the odourless carbon monoxide from a boiler or stove. For complete safety you use both.
Frequently asked questions about AirShield detection
Do all AirShield detectors work wirelessly?
Yes. Each detector runs on a battery and communicates wirelessly with the AirShield hub on 868 MHz, with two-way communication and AES128 encryption. You therefore do not need to run any cables.
Do I need a Hub?
Yes. The detectors report to the wireless AirShield hub from Dahua, which forwards the notifications to your phone. No system yet? Put one together with the configurator or have our installers fit it.
What is pet immunity?
Pet immunity helps to reduce false alarms caused by small pets (up to approx. 18 kg), but it is not a guarantee. Whether it works depends on the weight, size and behaviour of the animal and, above all, on the mounting height and location. Mount at approx. 2.2 m and do not aim the detector downwards; large, jumping or climbing animals can still trigger an alarm.
What is the difference between the PIR, Dual-Tech and PIR-Cam?
The PIR is an affordable motion detector. The Dual-Tech combines PIR with radar for the lowest chance of false alarms. The PIR-Cam takes HD photos when an alarm is triggered, so you can see straight away what is happening.
Do the smoke and CO detectors replace statutory detectors?
The AirShield smoke and CO detectors warn of smoke and carbon monoxide and send a notification to your phone. They monitor two different hazards, so for complete safety you use both. Always also follow the placement recommendations for each floor.
Does detection also work without internet?
Yes. The detectors communicate directly with the hub on 868 MHz, independently of your WiFi. Only the notifications to your phone go through the hub's network.
