AirShield CO Detector: warns of carbon monoxide
The AirShield CO Detector is a wireless carbon monoxide detector that accurately detects the odourless and dangerous CO gas. Essential in a home, restaurant or hotel with a central heating boiler, gas heater or open fire.
The detector (Dahua DHI-HY-GC21B-W2(868)) uses an electrochemical sensor and shows the CO concentration on an LCD screen. In case of danger, a loud alarm sounds and you receive a push notification via the DMSS app.
Why the AirShield CO Detector
Accurate CO detection
An electrochemical sensor responds quickly and precisely to dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide, a gas you cannot smell or see yourself.
CO level on the screen
A clear LCD screen shows the measured CO concentration and the status, so you can see at a glance whether everything is in order.
Loud alarm of more than 85 dB
If the concentration is too high, an alarm of more than 85 dB at 3 m sounds immediately, with a visual indication via the screen and LED.
Notification via the app
The detector works wirelessly on 868 MHz and sends a real-time push notification via the DMSS app, so you are also warned remotely.

Smoke detector and CO detector
These are two different detectors for two different hazards. The Smoke Detector warns of smoke and early-stage fire, the CO Detector of the odourless carbon monoxide from a central heating boiler, gas heater or open fireplace. For complete safety you need both.

As soon as a detector is triggered, the AirShield hub sends a push notification to your phone. In the free Dahua DMSS app you can see which detector was triggered and in which room, and you can arm and disarm your system. No subscription, on iPhone and Android.

Does the detector have a display?
Yes, the LCD screen shows the measured CO concentration and the status of the detector.
Can I silence the alarm temporarily?
Yes, the silence function mutes the alarm for approximately 45 seconds. Ventilate immediately and find the cause.
Is this a replacement for my smoke detector?
No. This detector only warns of carbon monoxide. For smoke and fire you need the AirShield Smoke Detector. For complete safety, use both.
