Wired technology in your wireless EN54 system
The EN54 I/O module connects third-party wired devices to the Ajax EN54 system via two inputs and two outputs.
On the inputs you connect wired detectors and buttons (NC, NO, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL), such as conventional manual call points, sprinkler flow switches or door contacts. With the two galvanically isolated outputs (AC/DC, up to 10 A) you control locks, emergency and escape lighting, lift control or voice evacuation (PAVA/VACIE). A fail-safe mode automatically activates the connected devices in the event of a fault.
Frequently asked questions
What can I connect to the inputs?
Wired detectors and buttons such as conventional manual call points, sprinkler flow switches, door contacts or linear smoke detectors, with support for NC, NO, EOL, 2EOL and 3EOL.
What can I control with the outputs?
Two galvanically isolated outputs (AC and DC, up to 10 A) for locks, emergency and escape lighting, lift control and voice evacuation systems.
What does fail-safe mode do?
It automatically activates the connected devices in the event of a fault, an offline module or an empty module, until the fault has been resolved.
Do I need a Fire Hub?
Yes. The module works within the EN54 range and is controlled by the Ajax EN54 Fire Hub.
