Greater range for the EN54 line
In large or complex buildings, a range extender bridges the distance between the EN54 devices and the control panel.
The EN54 Fire ReX has a built-in radio communicator and communicates via Ethernet and the secure Jeweller and Wings protocols, with a range of up to 1800 m in open space. Up to 5 range extenders can be used in a system. The Fire ReX runs on mains power, with an optional internal backup battery for 24 or 72 hours.

When do I need a range extender?
Over long distances, across several floors or through thick walls, when the detectors would otherwise be too far from the Fire Hub for a stable connection.
How many extenders can I use?
Up to 5 range extenders per Ajax system.
How is the Fire ReX powered?
Mains powered (fixed wiring). To bridge power failures, you install an internal backup battery (24 or 72 hours), available separately in the EN54 accessories. The power cable is not included.
