Which Ajax bracket do you need?
A bracket is the original Ajax SmartBracket mounting plate: the plate used to fix a detector, siren, hub or control device firmly and neatly to the wall. Every bracket is model-specific. What exactly is a SmartBracket?
The SmartBracket is the original Ajax mounting plate that is supplied with every device as standard. You screw the plate to the wall and then clip or screw the device onto it. The plate works together with the tamper protection: if someone removes the device from the plate, the tamper triggers an alarm.
Why would I buy a separate bracket?
Useful as a spare or replacement: when moving the device to another location, if the old plate is damaged, or if you want to prepare a second mounting point in advance.
Are the brackets available in white and black?
For most brackets you choose white or black when ordering, so that the plate suits your device and your interior. The outdoor brackets and the RepairKits are white. The available colours are shown on the product page itself.
What is the difference between a bracket and a RepairKit?
A bracket is only the mounting plate. A RepairKit is the complete housing (cover) of an outdoor detector, without circuit boards and batteries. In the event of external damage, you transfer your existing electronics into the new cover, which is much cheaper than a new device.
Will this bracket definitely fit my device?
