A video doorbell lets you see and talk to whoever is at the door, at home or away. You receive a notification when the bell is pressed or on motion, talk via two-way audio and review footage whenever you want. Available from Dahua and Ajax, separately or as a kit with a wireless chime.
The choice depends mainly on which system you otherwise use: if you already have an Ajax alarm system, the Ajax DoorBell is a logical addition; if you work with Dahua cameras, the DB41 line connects seamlessly with them.

Ajax DoorBell
The video doorbell from Ajax, which works together with your Ajax hub and the Ajax app. The logical choice if you already have an Ajax system.

A Dahua video doorbell is viewed in the free DMSS app, without a subscription, and stores footage locally on a microSD card. You hear the bell indoors with the wireless DS1AG, separately or in the kit.
The Ajax DoorBell works together with your Ajax hub and the Ajax app, and fits into the same system as your alarm. This way you receive notifications from your doorbell and your security in one place.
For a neat fixed power supply, you connect a video doorbell to a bell transformer. If you are unsure about your situation, just ask us.

What can a video doorbell do?
You see who is at the door, talk via two-way audio and receive a notification on motion or when the bell is pressed, also at night thanks to night vision. The Dahua models record in 4MP.
Does it work without a subscription?
With Dahua, yes: you manage the doorbell in the free DMSS app and store footage locally on microSD, with no monthly costs. The Ajax DoorBell works via the Ajax app and your hub; check with Ajax whether a subscription applies for cloud storage.
Which video doorbell suits my system?
If you have an Ajax alarm system, the Ajax DoorBell is the logical choice, as it is part of the same system and the same app. If you work with Dahua cameras or want to start with a standalone setup, the Dahua DB41 line is a good choice.
Will I hear indoors when someone rings the bell?
With the Dahua doorbell, the wireless DS1AG chime rings audibly indoors; it is included in the kit or available separately. The Ajax DoorBell notifies you via the app and your hub.
Do I need a bell transformer?
