The DB41AB is a Wi-Fi doorbell that you install yourself. It connects to your 2.4 GHz network (Wi-Fi 6) and sends a notification to your phone straight away when someone rings or moves in front of the door. Built-in AI recognises people and vehicles, so you receive fewer false notifications.

Installation
Self-installation
Power the DB41AB via USB (5 V) or via your existing doorbell transformer (10-24 V DC or 14-24 V AC). Do you have an old mechanical chime? It must be disconnected or bridged. Then pair the doorbell in the free DMSS app (iOS and Android) via Bluetooth and you are done. Mounting materials are included in the box.
Power supply
Recommended power supply
The DB41AB works on 12-24 V (DC or AC) or USB. No mechanical chime is connected to it, so power consumption stays low and all three of these power supplies are sufficient.
12V built-in adapter (1.5A)
Neatly concealed in the flush-mounting box. 1.5A is more than sufficient for the DB41AB.

Frequently asked questions about the Dahua DB41AB
Do I need a subscription?
No. The DB41AB records locally to a microSD card (up to 256 GB) or a Dahua NVR. No cloud subscription is required.
Does it work with my existing doorbell chime?
An old mechanical chime must be disconnected or bridged. Notifications are sent via the DMSS app. If you want a physical chime, choose the black kit with wireless DS1AG chime.
Does the doorbell work on 5 GHz wifi?
No, the DB41AB uses 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi 6). Make sure your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network.
Can I store the footage on an NVR?
Yes. Besides a microSD card, you can record the footage on a Dahua NVR.
Is there also a white version?
Yes, the Dahua DB41AW in white, with the same specifications.
