AirShield Smoke Detector: early warning in case of fire
The AirShield Smoke Detector is a wireless smoke detector that detects smoke at an early stage and immediately sounds a loud siren. This gives you valuable time in the event of an incipient fire, at home or at your business.
The smoke detector (Dahua HY-SA21A-W2(868)) uses a photoelectric sensor with split-spectrum technology for early detection with a low risk of false alarms. In the event of an alarm, you also receive a notification on your phone via the AirShield hub.
Why the AirShield Smoke Detector
Early smoke detection
A photoelectric sensor with split-spectrum technology recognises smoke particles early, while keeping the risk of unwanted alerts low.
Loud siren of 85 to 90 dB
When smoke is detected, a siren of 85 to 90 dB(A) at 3 m sounds immediately, supplemented by a clear visual alarm. Impossible to miss, even when you are asleep.
Also a notification on your phone
In addition to the siren, the AirShield hub sends a real-time notification to the app, so you also know remotely that something is happening.
Easy to operate
With the large test and silence button you can quickly check that the detector is working or silence the alarm for approximately 12 minutes, for example in the case of harmless cooking fumes.

Smoke detector and CO detector
These are two different detectors for two different hazards. The Smoke Detector warns of smoke and early-stage fire, the CO Detector of the odourless carbon monoxide from a central heating boiler, gas heater or open fireplace. For complete safety you need both.

Both work wirelessly on 868 MHz with AES128 encryption and send a notification to your phone via the AirShield hub when an alarm is triggered.
Notifications and expansion
An immediate notification in the DMSS app
As soon as a detector is triggered, the AirShield hub sends a push notification to your phone. In the free Dahua DMSS app you can see which detector was triggered and in which room, and you can arm and disarm your system. No subscription, on iPhone and Android.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I place the smoke detector?
Centrally on the ceiling, on every floor and in escape routes. Allow approximately 20 to 40 m² per detector and test straight after installation using the test button.
Will I also receive a notification on my phone?
Yes. Within an AirShield system, the hub sends a real-time notification to the app, in addition to the siren on site.
Can I silence the alarm?
Yes, with the large button you can silence the alarm for approximately 12 minutes, for example in the case of harmless cooking fumes.
Is this a replacement for my CO detector?
No. This smoke detector warns of smoke and fire. For odourless carbon monoxide you need the AirShield CO Detector. For complete safety, use both.
