AirShield Multi-Transmitter: connect many wired zones wirelessly

With the AirShield Multi-Transmitter, you bring an entire wired installation into your AirShield system. Existing detectors and sirens stay in place, and you connect them wirelessly to the hub in one go. This way you modernise without replacing everything.

This module (Dahua DHI-ARM9A4-W2(868)) has 16 alarm inputs and 4 relay outputs. Wired detectors pass their signal on to the hub, and the hub can, for example, control an existing siren via the relays. Useful for larger or professional installations.

Features

Why choose the AirShield Multi-Transmitter

16 zones at once

Connect up to 16 wired detectors (with pulse detection on channels 1 to 6) and include your entire installation in the wireless AirShield system.

4 relay outputs

Four relays up to 30 VDC and 3 A to control external devices or an existing siren, plus 2 auxiliary power supplies of 14.5 V (up to 2 A combined).

Encrypted and monitored

Two-way communication on 868 MHz with AES128 and frequency hopping, with tamper contact, battery monitoring and a range of up to approx. 1,600 metres.

Mains power with backup

Runs on 100 to 240 VAC and can be prepared for an optional 12 V backup battery, so the system keeps working during a power failure.

Buying guide

Which interface module suits you?

Do you want to bring existing wired detectors or sirens into your AirShield system? For 1 individual detector, the compact Input Expander is enough. The Transmitter connects individual external detectors with a tamper input. For many zones at once, choose the Multi-Transmitter, or the PoE variant if you prefer a neat connection via a network cable.

All four communicate wirelessly on 868 MHz with two-way communication and AES128, and connect to the AirShield hub. The Multi-Transmitters run on mains power; the Input Expander and Transmitter run on CR123A batteries.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from the PoE version?

This one works wirelessly on 868 MHz and on mains power. The PoE Multi-Transmitter can also be connected to the network by cable and powered via PoE, using a single network cable.

Can I also connect a siren to this?

Yes. The hub can, for example, control an existing wired siren via the 4 relay outputs.

Does it keep working during a power failure?

The module runs on mains power and can be prepared for an optional 12 V backup battery. We supply the Multi-Transmitter battery 12V 9Ah for this.

Who is this module intended for?

For larger or professional installations with many wired zones. For 1 or a few detectors, the Input Expander or Transmitter is more economical.

Manuals and firmware from Dahua

In the Dahua download centre you search by model code and find the manual, drawings and firmware together. We deliberately do not host firmware here ourselves: the wrong version can make a camera unusable, and on the model page you choose the right one. Not sure?
