Dahua HDBW3849R-ZS-IL 8MP WizSense Smart Dual Light Dome 2.7-13.5mm motorised zoom lens
Looking for a reliable and powerful 4K security camera? The Dahua HDBW3849R-ZS-IL delivers razor-sharp 8MP images, smart illumination and AI detection in one compact vandal-proof dome. Thanks to Smart Dual Light, the camera switches automatically between inconspicuous infrared and bright white light. This gives you colour images at night the moment it matters, and saves energy when all is quiet. The motorised 2.7-13,5 mm zoom lets you adjust the viewing angle perfectly in seconds, from a wide overview to a sharp close-up. With H.265+ storage, a built-in microphone and IP67/IK10 robustness, this is a complete solution for private users and professionals.
What this camera does
This 4K IP dome camera is built on Dahua WizSense, which makes smart detection more accurate and sharply reduces false alerts. SMD 4.0 recognises targets (human/vehicle) far better than standard motion detection. Combined with Perimeter Protection (such as line crossing and area monitoring), you only receive notifications that matter. The Smart Dual Light technology switches automatically: discreet IR when all is quiet, and bright warm light during an event for a clear colour image and extra deterrence up to 50 metres.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card of up to 512 GB fits in the camera. Convenient for a single camera. If you want to review footage over a longer period or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and IK10 and is therefore made for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and feed the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
