AirShield Glass Break Detector: hears breaking glass
The AirShield Glass Break Detector is a wireless glass break detector that recognises the sound of breaking glass and raises the alarm immediately. It monitors windows, glass facades and display cabinets up to 9 m away, ideal for homes, shops and offices.
The detector (Dahua ARD512-W2(868)) listens to both low and high frequencies and filters out other sounds, so that you get a reliable alarm without false alarms. Two wired inputs allow you to connect additional detectors.

All four work wirelessly on 868 MHz with two-way communication and AES128 encryption, and pair with the same AirShield hub. The recommended mounting height for the motion detectors is approximately 2.2 m.

An immediate notification in the DMSS app
As soon as a detector is triggered, the AirShield hub sends a push notification to your phone. In the free Dahua DMSS app you can see which detector was triggered and in which room, and you can arm and disarm your system. No subscription, on iPhone and Android.

Which types of glass does the detector work on?

What is the detection range?
Up to 9 m in the same indoor space. Mount the detector within that range of the glass and avoid heavy curtains or other sound-absorbing obstacles.
Can I connect additional sensors?
Yes, via the two wired alarm inputs (NO/NC). This allows one detector to monitor several points.
What is the difference from a motion detector?
A glass break detector responds to the sound of breaking glass, a motion detector to movement in the room. For display cabinets and large windows they complement each other well.
