12-24V PSU (type A): your hub on low voltage
Not every location has a socket. With the Ajax 12-24V PSU (type A) you can run a Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus or ReX 2 from a 12-24 V low-voltage source instead of the 230 V mains.
The 12-24V PSU (type A) replaces the standard 110/230 V board in the enclosure of your hub or range extender. This lets you also secure locations with an unstable or missing mains supply: a boat, camper, technical room, vehicle or off-grid installation. This module is the successor to the older 12V PSU for Hub 2 and covers the entire Hub 2 generation.

How the installation works
The 12-24V PSU (type A) goes in the enclosure of the device, in place of the standard 110/230 V power supply. The module has a latch for connecting the power cable and is supplied with a connection adapter. For an installer it is a matter of swapping the pre-installed power supply; allow about 10 minutes and have it done by a qualified electrician.
The hub keeps running on its internal backup battery if the external power supply fails. The 12-24 V is purely the power input, and all security functions remain unchanged.

Which devices work with this power supply?
The Hub 2 (2G), Hub 2 (4G), Hub 2 Plus and the ReX 2 range extender. For the older Hub, Hub Plus and ReX, use the separate 12V PSU for that generation.
Can my hub run on a battery with this?
Yes. With a 12-24 V battery as the source, the hub works without a 230 V connection, for example on a boat, in a camper or at an off-grid location.
Do the warranty and certification remain valid?
Yes. This is an official Ajax module and not a modification, so the CE certification and manufacturer's warranty remain valid.
What is the difference from the 12V PSU for Hub 2?
The 12-24V PSU (type A) has a wider input range (8-32 V) and is the successor to the 12V PSU for Hub 2, which is no longer in production.
