Ajax DoorProtect Plus: opening detector with shock and tilt detection
Everything the DoorProtect does, and more. In addition to the opening of a door or window, the Plus also detects vibrations and tilting. This way you notice a break-in attempt while someone is still prising at the door or window, before it is open.
The DoorProtect Plus combines a reed switch with an accelerometer. The reed switch detects opening, while the accelerometer senses shocks and changes in tilt angle. This is useful for windows that you want to leave in the tilt position for ventilation, and for doors where you want to notice an attempted break-in early. It communicates wirelessly with your Ajax hub via the Jeweller protocol, up to 1200 metres in open space. The battery is already pre-installed, so you do not need to fit one yourself.
Why the DoorProtect Plus
Shock detection
The accelerometer detects vibrations and impacts, for example when someone tries to force a window or door. Adjustable in three levels.
Tilt detection
Detects when the angle changes, adjustable from 5° to 25°. Also suitable for windows that may be left tilted open.
Instant notification
As soon as an opening, shock or tilt is detected, you receive a push notification in the Ajax app straight away.
Fully wireless
Communicates with your Ajax hub via the encrypted Jeweller protocol, up to 1200 metres in open space.
Connect an additional detector
Via the NC input, you connect a third-party wired detector to the same zone.

Install it yourself in a few minutes
Fit the detector to the fixed part of the door or window and the magnet to the moving part, with the magnet on the right-hand side. Mount using the supplied screws and wall plugs for a firm, permanent fixing. The supplied double-sided tape is intended as an installation aid, for example to try out the position first, and not for final mounting. The small magnet works up to 1 cm distance, the large one up to 2 cm. You set the sensitivity of the shock and tilt detection in the Ajax app, so that you avoid false alarms caused by wind or passing traffic. Then pair the DoorProtect Plus with your Hub via the app and the zone is active.

Frequently asked questions about the DoorProtect Plus
What can the Plus do that the standard DoorProtect cannot?
In addition to detecting a door or window being opened, the Plus also detects shocks and tilting, thanks to a built-in accelerometer. This lets you notice an attempted break-in before the opening is actually open. The standard DoorProtect only detects opening.
Can I leave a window in the tilt position?
Yes. Thanks to tilt detection, you can leave a window ajar for ventilation and still receive an alarm if the angle changes further. You set the threshold in the app between 5° and 25°.
Will wind or traffic trigger a false alarm?
You set the shock and tilt sensitivity in the Ajax app, in three levels. This lets you adjust the detector to the situation and avoid unnecessary alerts.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The DoorProtect Plus works with your Ajax hub without a mandatory subscription. Notifications arrive free of charge in the Ajax app.
How long does the battery last?
Up to five years on the pre-installed CR123A battery. The Ajax app gives ample warning when it needs replacing.
Which hub do I need?
Every Ajax hub with Jeweller works with the DoorProtect Plus. Do you not have a system yet? View the Ajax StarterKit or put together a set yourself.
Can I connect a wired detector to it?
Yes. Via the NC input you connect a wired detector with an NC contact (normally closed) to the same zone, for example a roller shutter magnetic contact. A contact with a built-in (EOL) resistor cannot be connected to the DoorProtect Plus; it is connected to the Ajax MultiTransmitter.
