Ajax FireProtect Plus: wireless smoke, heat and CO detector
Detects smoke, heat and carbon monoxide and sounds the alarm immediately with an 85 dB siren. Wireless, with pre-installed batteries and can be mounted yourself on the SmartBracket.
You can use the Ajax FireProtect Plus on its own or connect it to your Ajax system. In addition to smoke and heat, this version also monitors carbon monoxide. When an alarm is triggered, the Ajax logo turns red and the built-in siren starts. For notifications in the app or to the alarm receiving centre, add an Ajax Hub.
Why the FireProtect Plus
Optical smoke sensor
An infrared emitter and photodetector in the smoke chamber detect smoke at an early stage.
Heat sensor
Responds to a rapid rise in temperature, including fires that produce little smoke.
CO sensor
Measures carbon monoxide, the gas you cannot smell or see, which is released by combustion appliances.
85 dB siren
Built-in siren. When an alarm is triggered, the Ajax logo turns red.
Battery pre-installed
2x CR2 as main power supply (Ajax states up to 3 years, no minimum) plus a CR2032 as backup. Pre-installed.
Wireless via Jeweller
Wireless Jeweller connection up to 1300 m in open space. With an Ajax hub, the app tests the range and the smoke chamber remotely.
SmartBracket mounting
Mount without opening the housing. Tamper contact against opening and removal.

FireProtect Plus or the newer FireProtect 2?
The FireProtect Plus is the first generation. The FireProtect 2 is the successor, with a bispectral smoke sensor, longer battery life and more power options.

Both work with the same Ajax system. For a new installation we recommend the FireProtect 2.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Ajax Hub?
Not necessarily. The FireProtect Plus also works on its own with its built-in siren, and you can link several detectors together. For notifications on your phone via the Ajax app or reporting to an alarm receiving centre, you need an Ajax hub. We recommend at least a Hub 2 for easy installation and notifications in the app.
What is the difference from the FireProtect 2?
The FireProtect 2 is the successor, with a bispectral smoke sensor (better at ignoring steam), a longer battery life (up to 7 years) and a choice of replaceable, sealed or 230 V power supply. The FireProtect Plus remains available and is more affordable.
What does the CO sensor do?
It measures carbon monoxide, a gas you cannot smell or see, which is released by incomplete combustion (central heating boiler, stove, open fire).
How long does the battery last?
The pre-installed 2x CR2 last up to 3 years, with a CR2032 as backup. The app warns you well in advance.
Does it warn the other detectors?
Yes. If you link several detectors together, the alarm of one detector sets off the sirens of all the others, even without a hub. With an Ajax hub you also receive a notification in the app.
