Certification of the highest grade is required in certain sectors in order to obtain insurance. Ajax Superior is suitable for:

Ajax Fibra
Ajax Fibra is a hybrid security system. This means that a combination of wired and wireless devices is possible. A wired connection will at all times be more stable, more reliable and more secure than wireless connections.
The Ajax Fibra line uses the Ajax Hub Hybrid. This control panel is suitable for all Ajax security protocols (Fibra, Jeweller and Wings). All Ajax Systems security products can be connected to it.
The same applies to Ajax Fibra: only accredited partners may sell, install and manage this product line. This is only possible on request, please contact us for this.
Ease of use
We give the usability of the system 4 stars. We are very satisfied with it, but we must be honest. Sometimes products or updates are announced that take longer to arrive. The Ajax alarm system can be operated in enough ways. Below we explain which options are available:
Ajax Hub
Ajax Systems has deliberately chosen not to place control buttons and other interfaces on the Ajax Hub. You no longer need to fiddle with a screen that is too small and buttons that are unclear. Work via the secure Ajax Systems app. More explanation below.
Ajax Systems app
With the Ajax Systems app you have all the functions of your alarm system within reach. Think of:
- Instant notification
- System management
- Core functions
The Ajax Systems app is minimalist and intuitive. From the first use, it is clear what you can do in the app.
Via the app you receive important information about security notifications:
- What happened?
- Where did it happen?
- Who is involved?
There is also a useful log, so you can always quickly find the information above again.
Live camera footage
Via the app you can see in real time what is happening in your home. With the right Ajax security products you can view live images and receive photo verification (when a break-in or smoke is detected), and all of this is stored in the archive.
Geofence
With the Geofence function of Ajax Systems, you can have the security system switch on and off automatically based on your location. Are you within a radius of 1 km of your home? Then the system switches off automatically. Are you outside it? Then the system switches on. You will of course also receive notifications about this, so you always know the status of your system.
Critical alerts
For critical warnings, a siren sounds to signal the activated alarm. Even if your phone is in silent mode, you receive an audible notification.
Mobile panic button
Ajax Systems has a built-in panic button. It sends an immediate location alert, including to people without the Ajax app, such as a family member, friend, neighbour or other system users. Especially in combination with an alarm receiving centre, this is a strong way to improve your personal security.
The entire system on your smartwatch
The Ajax alarm system can also be used via your smartwatch. The convenient Ajax widget gives you access to:

Ajax KeyPad Plus
The Ajax KeyPad Plus is a control panel on which you use a tag, pass or code to arm and disarm your security system.
Ajax KeyPad
With the Ajax KeyPad you arm the system with a code or a single key. With your secret duress code, you send a silent alarm to an alarm receiving centre.
Ajax SpaceControl
A small, wireless remote control with 4 buttons. Arm and disarm the Ajax alarm system, or report a dangerous situation directly with one press of a button. The Ajax SpaceControl remote control even fits on your key ring.
Ajax Button
This is a small button that lets you report emergencies quickly. Think of a panic button for the elderly or an emergency button under the counter in the event of a robbery.

Range
The range of Ajax Systems extends further and is more stable and reliable than other alarm systems. That is why we give the range of the Ajax alarm system 5 stars.
Ajax Systems uses 2 radio protocols: “Jeweller” & “Wings”.
Ajax Jeweller is the primary channel for sending and receiving information. It is used to send alarms, events and all measured values to Ajax components and the app.
Ajax Wings is the back-up channel. This channel is aimed more at transferring larger files, such as settings, languages and firmware updates.
Maximum range
The maximum range of Ajax Jeweller is up to 2000 metres in open field. Ajax Wings has a range of up to 1700 metres in open field.
Open field means that it was tested without interference and obstacles. This is the usual 0 point for radio technologies.
For private individuals with a regular home, you hardly need to consider the range. The range is always sufficient here. Only for very large homes or commercial premises (such as a warehouse) may a different solution be needed. If in doubt, always contact our customer service.
Interference & obstacles
Hardly anyone installs an alarm system in an open field. In real life, the range is affected by obstacles and potential interference. The radio signal generally weakens when it meets an obstacle, which can cause it to lose some of its strength. Below we explain what these obstacles are and how much allowance you need to make for them.
Reflective obstacles
Mirrors and metal surfaces of at least 30 cm x 30 cm reflect the signal. As a result, the signal strength can drop to 10%.
Please note: all surfaces reflect radio signals to a limited extent, but the materials above do so to a greater degree.
How much impact do walls have on the range?

Installing the Ajax alarm system is manageable. The clear manuals make it possible to do the installation yourself. The configuration of the components with one another in particular can be a sticking point. That is why we offer an affordable configuration service. With our configuration service, we set up the system completely for you and you only need to do the installation yourself. If you already have the system at home, we can also configure it for you remotely.
With our configuration service, you receive a document with detailed instructions on the location and functions of the components. We also help you with:

System expansions
We give the Ajax alarm system 5 stars for its expansion options. Depending on the Hub, you can connect up to 100 or 200 Ajax devices. For more information, read our article on the differences between Ajax Hubs. You can also connect external components and systems. We therefore split this into 2 parts:
Internal expansion options:
- Control options for the Ajax alarm system are keypads, tags & buttons.
- Use Ajax cameras to keep an eye on things at all times.
- Protect yourself against fire with smoke detectors, heat detectors, CO detectors and/or wireless wall buttons.
- Extend your burglary protection with motion detection, glass break detection and/or magnetic contacts.
- Deter intruders with sirens and flashing lights or warn yourself in potentially life-threatening situations such as carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Run automation scenarios when the temperature, humidity or CO2 concentration becomes too high with the Ajax LifeQuality air quality detector.
- Smart home automations for lighting, potential-free contacts or other electronic applications.
