WaterStop: stops water damage automatically
A leaking washing machine, dishwasher or pipe can cause considerable damage. The Ajax WaterStop shuts off the water supply within seconds as soon as a leak is detected, even when you are not at home.
The WaterStop is a wireless shut-off valve with an electric actuator. As soon as a paired Ajax LeaksProtect or another leak sensor detects water, the valve closes within 5 seconds. You can also operate it from anywhere in the world via the Ajax app and set up scenarios, for example shutting off the water when you arm the alarm or at a fixed time. An Ajax Hub (Hub 2 or higher) is required for use.
What the WaterStop does
Closes within 5 seconds
When a leak is detected, the valve closes automatically and you prevent further damage.
Wireless via Jeweller
Works with LeaksProtect and the Ajax Hub, range up to 1,100 m without obstacles.
Control from anywhere via the app
Open and close the valve remotely and set up scenarios, for example closing when the alarm is armed.
Works during a power failure
Four pre-installed CR123A batteries last up to 3 years, so the valve keeps working without mains power.
Solid brass valve
Robust ball valve for hot and cold water, in sizes 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″.
Manual emergency operation
A button on the actuator and a lever on the mounting panel shut off the water without tools if necessary.

How the WaterStop works
From leak to closed valve in seconds
The WaterStop works together with your leak sensors. If an Ajax LeaksProtect (or a third-party sensor) detects water, it passes on the signal and the WaterStop shuts off the water supply within 5 seconds. You receive a notification in the Ajax app straight away and can always see the status of the valve, the battery and the connection there. If anything should go wrong with the technology, you can shut off the water manually with the button on the actuator or the lever on the mounting panel.
On the main water pipe
You install the WaterStop on the main water pipe or on the supply line of an appliance. Choose the size that matches your pipe: 1/2″ (DN 15), 3/4″ (DN 20) or 1″ (DN 25). The actuator can be mounted in four positions, so it also fits in a tight meter cupboard. The box contains two types of mounting clamps: standard and a version with tamper protection. If in doubt, have the installation carried out by an installer; pairing with the Hub then takes a few steps in the app.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Ajax Hub?
Yes. The WaterStop works wirelessly with an Ajax Hub (Hub 2 or higher). Via the Hub you receive notifications and operate the valve remotely in the Ajax app.
What controls the WaterStop?
By a paired leak sensor. This is usually the Ajax LeaksProtect, but a third-party leak sensor can also make the valve close. You can also control it manually or via a scenario.
Which size do I need?
Choose the size that matches your pipe: 1/2″ (DN 15) for most homes, 3/4″ (DN 20) or 1″ (DN 25) for thicker pipes. Not sure? Check the connection of your main tap or ask your installer.
Does the WaterStop work during a power cut?
Yes. The valve runs on four pre-installed CR123A batteries that last up to 3 years, so it keeps working if the power fails. The app warns you well in advance when the battery is nearly empty.
Can I also shut off the water manually?
Yes. There is a button on the actuator and a lever on the mounting panel with which you can shut off the water supply in an emergency without tools.
What type of water is the valve suitable for?
For hot and cold water and other non-aggressive liquids. The valve is made of brass and withstands a liquid temperature of -20 to +170 degrees.
