What this camera does
The Dahua HDW2241T-S delivers Full HD images at 25 fps, so people, number plates and details are clearly visible. The fixed 2.8 mm wide-angle lens easily covers a wide area, while powerful IR light provides sharp night vision. Smart Motion Detection and AI perimeter protection filter people and vehicles, so you receive fewer false alarms and can act sooner. The built-in microphone (model -S) also records clear sound for a more complete picture of every event. With H.265+ smart compression you save storage and bandwidth without losing quality. The robust, weatherproof housing (IP67) is made for reliable outdoor use, all year round.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card up to 256 GB fits in the camera. Handy for a single camera. If you want to look back further or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and route the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
