What this camera does
The Smart Dual Light switches automatically between infrared and warm white light. At rest, the camera records discreetly using IR; when a person or vehicle moves, the warm light switches on to provide colour evidence and act as a deterrent. SMD 4.0 with AI algorithms reduces false alarms (for example, caused by leaves or animals) and improves reliability. Perimeter protection with tripwire and intrusion accurately detects crossings of zones and lines. AI Scene Self-adaptation (AI SSA) intelligently adjusts image settings, so you always get a clear result in backlight, rain or twilight. The built-in microphone records ambient sound, and local storage is possible on a MicroSD card of up to 512 GB. With H.265+ and AI coding, you save storage and bandwidth without loss of quality. The IP67 housing and wide temperature range make the camera suitable for outdoor and indoor use, all year round. Installation is quick using a single network cable for data and power (PoE) or 12V DC. Works seamlessly with Dahua NVRs and the DMSS app for live viewing and playback.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card of up to 512 GB fits in the camera. Convenient for a single camera. If you want to review footage over a longer period or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and route the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
