Transmitter: a wired detector goes wireless in Ajax
Connect a single detector with a wired output to your Ajax system, indoors and outdoors.
The Ajax Transmitter makes a wired detector wireless. Do you have an IR barrier, a liquid level detector, a gas leak detector, a keypad or a panic button with an NC/NO contact? The Transmitter reports its status to your Ajax Hub via the secure Jeweller protocol, up to 1,600 metres in open space.
The module is compact (100 × 39 × 22 mm) and usually fits inside the detector's own housing. It runs on three pre-installed CR123A batteries and supplies 3.3 V (up to 125 mA) to the connected device. Separate ALARM and TAMP inputs ensure that both the alarm and the tamper protection of the detector reach Ajax.
What the Transmitter offers
One detector, wireless
Integrate a detector with a wired output into your Ajax system.
NC/NO contact
Separate ALARM and TAMP inputs for the alarm and the tamper protection.
Two-way Jeweller
Wireless, encrypted connection to the hub up to 1,600 m in open space.
Battery powered
Three pre-installed CR123A batteries, no extra power cable needed.
Fits inside the detector
Compact enough to fit inside the housing of most detectors.
Notifications in the app
The connected detector appears as a device in the Ajax app.

Compact and quick to install
The Transmitter is small enough to fit inside the housing of most detectors. Connect the detector to the ALARM input, the tamper protection to the TAMP input and, if required, power the device from the 3.3 V output. Add the module to your Ajax hub with a QR scan and the detector appears in the app.
Because the Transmitter runs on batteries (3x CR123A, pre-installed), you do not need extra cabling to a power supply. The battery life depends on the consumption of the connected detector.
Fourteen event types
In the Ajax app you choose which type of detector you connect. That choice determines the text of the notification in the app and the code sent to the alarm receiving centre, so it is immediately clear whether it concerns an intrusion, a fire or a leak.
| Intruder | motion, opening or another intrusion detector |
| Fire | smoke, heat or CO detector |
| Emergency alarm | emergency or medical call button |
| Panic button | hold-up or panic button |
| Gas | gas leak detector |
| Fault | fault in the connected device |
| Leak | water leak detector |
| Glass break | glass break sensor |
| High temperature | upper limit exceeded |
| Low temperature | lower limit exceeded |
| Masking | someone covers the detector |
| Duress code | code entered under duress |
| Vibration | seismic or vibration sensor |
| Custom type | freely configurable (Custom) |
Also as a key switch
You can also set the Transmitter up as a KeyArm zone. In that case you arm or disarm the system with a wired device on the input, instead of sending an alarm.
What you connect
A mechanical key switch, push button, access reader, radio transmitter or telephone relay.
What it does
Arming and disarming the whole system, a group or night mode. Choose toggle, arm only or disarm only.
What you need
An Ajax Hub with OS Malevich 2.17 or higher. Setup is carried out by an installer or a user with the appropriate rights.

Wired detector
Works with any detector with an NC/NO output: IR barrier, gas leak, liquid level, panic button.
Transmitter or MultiTransmitter 3EOL?
Both bring wired detectors into your Ajax system. Choose based on the number of detectors you want to connect.
| Feature | Ajax Transmitter | MultiTransmitter 3EOL |
|---|---|---|
| Wired inputs | 1 detector | up to 18 zones |
| Zone types | NC/NO (ALARM + TAMP) | NO, NC, EOL, Double and Triple EOL |
| Power supply module | 3x CR123A (pre-installed) | 100-240 V + 12V backup battery |
| Detector power supply | 3.3 V, up to 125 mA | 10.5-15 V, up to 1 A |
| Radio range (open space) | up to 1,600 m | up to 2,000 m |
| Mounting | in the detector housing | wall enclosure 192 x 238 x 100 mm |
| Best for | single wired detector | entire wired alarm |

The Transmitter integrates a single battery-powered wired detector. The MultiTransmitter 3EOL connects up to 18 zones, powers the detectors itself and has a mains power supply with a backup battery.
Frequently asked questions
Which detectors can I connect?
Any detector with an NC/NO contact output: an IR barrier, liquid level detector, gas leak detector, control panel, panic button and more. The Transmitter passes the alarm and the tamper protection on to Ajax.
Which event types does the Transmitter support?
In the Ajax app you choose from fourteen types: intrusion, fire, medical alarm, panic, gas, malfunction, leak, glass break, high and low temperature, masking, duress code, vibration and a custom type. Your choice determines the notification text and the code sent to the alarm receiving centre.
Can the Transmitter arm and disarm the system?
Yes. Besides relaying a detector, you can set the Transmitter up as a KeyArm zone. If you connect a key switch, push button or access reader, you can use it to arm or disarm the whole system, a group or night mode. This requires a hub with OS Malevich 2.17 or higher.
Do I need an Ajax Hub?
Yes. The Transmitter reports the connected detector in your Ajax system, so an Ajax hub is required.
How long do the batteries last?
The Transmitter runs on three pre-installed CR123A batteries. Battery life depends on the power consumption of the connected detector, because the module can power it via the 3.3 V output (up to 125 mA).
What if I have more than one detector?
The Transmitter is ideal for a single detector. If you have several wired detectors or entire zones, the MultiTransmitter 3EOL (up to 18 zones) is more economical and easier to manage.
Can the Transmitter be used outdoors?
You usually place the module inside the housing of the detector. For outdoor use, that housing must be protected and radio-transparent, so that the Jeweller signal reaches the hub.
