Ajax ReX

Ajax ReX: greater range for your alarm system

Place detectors well beyond the radio range of the hub. The ReX amplifies the Jeweller signal and manages the connected devices as a second decision centre.

The ReX extends the range of any Ajax system using the secure Jeweller protocol, up to 1,800 metres per booster in open space. This lets you protect multi-storey offices, detached buildings and production sites. With five ReX units in one system, you extend the coverage to 35 km². Please note: the ReX does not support photo verification or MotionCam detectors. If you need these, consider the ReX 2.

Features

What the ReX offers

Second decision centre

Runs on OS Malevich, manages up to 249 devices and takes over critical decisions.

Siren on fault

If the connection to the hub is lost, the ReX can activate the siren itself.

Up to 35 hours of backup

The built-in backup battery keeps the booster running during a power failure.

Simple installation

Scan the QR code, select the devices, done. No dismantling thanks to the SmartBracket.

How it works

The second decision centre

The ReX integrates the connected devices into an autonomous group within the system. It runs on OS Malevich and is therefore as capable as the hub: the repeater takes over control as soon as the connection to the hub is lost, and can activate the siren to deter an intruder.

Connecting is simple. Scan the QR code in the Ajax app, give the booster a name and select which devices should work through the ReX. Then place it in a secure location using the supplied SmartBracket, without dismantling the housing.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the ReX support MotionCam detectors?

No. The ReX only works with the Jeweller protocol and does not relay photo verification. If you want to use MotionCam, choose the ReX 2.

What is the difference from the ReX 2?

How much does the ReX extend my range?

Up to 1,800 metres per repeater in open space. With five ReX units in one system, you extend the coverage to 35 km².

Does the ReX keep working during a power failure?

Yes. The built-in backup battery keeps the repeater running for up to 35 hours, so your security stays online.

Which hub do I need?

The ReX works with the Ajax hubs. The maximum number of repeaters and connected devices differs per hub model.
