ReX 2: greater range, photo verification and ethernet
Extends the range of your Ajax system and lets you place detectors far beyond the radio range of the hub. In addition to alarms, the ReX 2 supports photo verification and a wired ethernet connection.
The ReX 2 boosts communication over the secure Jeweller and Wings protocols up to 1,700 metres per repeater in open space. With five ReX 2 units in one system, you extend the coverage to 35 km², which suits industrial units, warehouses, multi-storey offices and large sites. The built-in ethernet port serves as an alternative or primary channel where radio coverage is lacking. The ReX 2 works with the Hub 2 generation (Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus).
What the ReX 2 offers
Up to 1,700 m per range extender
Two-way connection via Jeweller and Wings, measured in open space to the hub.
Coverage up to 35 km²
Five ReX 2 units in one system together bridge up to 35 km² of protected area.
Photo verification
Works with MotionCam and MotionCam Outdoor: with every alarm you see straight away what is happening.
Ethernet connection
Via 8P8C at up to 100 Mbps, you reach basements, floors and rooms with metal walls.
Up to 38 hours of backup
The built-in backup battery keeps the booster running during a power failure.
Second decision centre
Runs on OS Malevich, manages up to 199 devices and switches on the siren itself if the hub drops out.

Smarter than a standard range extender
The ReX 2 is more than a repeater. It combines (some of) your devices into an autonomous group and manages their communication, without any loss of stability or delivery speed. If the connection to the hub drops and a detector registers a break-in, the ReX 2 receives the alarm and can activate the siren itself.
The ethernet port makes the range extender usable as an access point in places where radio coverage is absent or unstable: cellars, upper floors, underground car parks or warehouses with metal partitions. Events and the first photo verification then reach the alarm receiving centre and the app within 10 seconds.
You add it by scanning the QR code in the Ajax app. With the built-in signal strength and attenuation test, you can find the best location straight away. The ReX 2 clicks onto the supplied SmartBracket, so you do not need to dismantle anything for maintenance.

ReX or ReX 2?
Two signal boosters with a clear difference in capabilities. Choose based on your hub and whether you need photo verification.

The ReX supports more devices and has a slightly greater radio range; the ReX 2 adds photo verification (MotionCam) and an ethernet connection and works with the Hub 2 generation.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from the standard ReX?
The ReX 2 supports Wings and photo verification (MotionCam), has an ethernet port and works with the Hub 2 generation. The ReX uses Jeweller only and does not support MotionCam, but it does handle more devices.
Does the ReX 2 work with MotionCam detectors?
Yes. The ReX 2 works with the MotionCam and MotionCam Outdoor. The photos reach the alarm receiving centre and the app via the Wings channel (18 s) or via ethernet (10 s).
How much does the ReX 2 extend my range?
Up to 1,700 metres per repeater in open space. With five ReX 2 units in one system, you extend the coverage to 35 km².
Which hub do I need?
A Hub 2 or Hub 2 Plus, as these support the Wings protocol for photo verification. The maximum number of devices depends on the hub model.
Does everything keep working during a power failure?
Yes. The built-in backup battery keeps the ReX 2 running for up to 38 hours (with ethernet switched off), so your security stays online.
