Install Ajax yourself or have it installed?

An Ajax system is wireless, so you can install it yourself without chasing walls or demolition work. You mount the detectors and pair them via the app. If you would rather have it done, or you need advice and a proper handover, our VEB-approved fitters will install and configure it for you. The choice depends on how much time you have and whether you want a professional handover.

How easy is it really?

Because Ajax is wireless, installing it yourself is quite feasible. You mount the hub, connect it to your internet and then add the detectors by pairing them via the app. Make sure the hub has a connection straight away during that first installation: this works with the network cable or, if your hub has a SIM card slot, via mobile internet. Wi-Fi is only available on the Hub 2 Plus and is set up in the app once the hub is online. Fit the detectors in the recommended position, test each zone in the app and your system is ready. For an average home you will be finished quickly, without tools for demolition work.

What do our installers do?

If you choose to have it done, our VEB-certified installers will visit. They advise on the best coverage and placement, fit the devices, configure the hub and zones, and explain how to operate the system. This way you can be sure that every room is properly covered and everything is set up correctly.

Good to know We carry out installations throughout the Netherlands. A certified installation with a completion record or certificate is only possible within our own service area. This is because it also involves maintenance and service, which must be available on site quickly, and that is only possible in our own region. Additional costs apply to this option. Please contact us beforehand, and we will look at what is possible for your location.

What suits you?

If you are reasonably handy and want to save money, installing it yourself is perfectly feasible. If you want certainty about coverage, do not want to spend the time, or need a formal handover (for example for insurance or a business), choose installation by our fitters. If you are unsure, we are happy to advise on what makes sense in your situation.
