A wireless motion detector with a narrow, curtain-shaped beam. Ideal for monitoring a window, glass door or corridor without detecting the whole room. This way you can simply move around indoors while the zone along the glass remains protected.
With a horizontal detection angle of just 6°, the MotionProtect Curtain creates a thin vertical strip of detection up to 15 metres deep. Ideal for monitoring exactly along a façade, shop window or passageway. It communicates in encrypted form via Jeweller with your Ajax hub. Available in white and black.

Install it yourself in a few minutes
Mount the detector at a height of approximately 2.4 metres using the supplied SmartBracket and bracket, so that the narrow beam falls exactly along the window or passageway to be monitored. Use the supplied screws and wall plugs for a secure fixing. Do you want to ignore pets? Then mount the detector upside down, as Ajax specifies. The battery is already installed, so you pair the MotionProtect Curtain with your hub in one click via the Ajax app and then set the sensitivity.

Frequently asked questions about the MotionProtect Curtain
What is the difference from a standard MotionProtect?
The Curtain creates a narrow detection strip (6° wide), ideal for monitoring just a window or passageway. The standard MotionProtect, on the other hand, covers a whole room up to 12 metres wide.
Can I keep moving around indoors?
Yes. Because only the narrow zone along the glass or passageway is monitored, you can simply use the rest of the room while the system is armed.
Will it respond to my pet?
You can prevent this by mounting the detector upside down, as Ajax specifies. The beam then falls higher, out of reach of pets moving around. This only works with the correct installation and settings; read the Ajax explanation of pet immunity.
Do I need a subscription?
No. The MotionProtect Curtain works with your Ajax hub without a mandatory subscription. Notifications arrive free of charge in the Ajax app.
How long does the battery last?
Up to three years on the pre-installed CR123A battery. The Ajax app warns you well in advance when it needs replacing.
