Surface-mount box for the VTO2202F
The box that places the VTO2202F on the wall. Required if the facade cannot be routed out, for example with brick or concrete that you do not want to break open.
The box is fitted against the facade and the door station goes inside it. Outdoors, a rain cover is advisable: it keeps water off the front.

Sealing during installation
Seal the edges with silicone sealant during installation. If you do not, rainwater runs behind the housing and still reaches the cabling.

No, this is only the mounting box. The unit is ordered separately.
Do I also need a rain cover?
Outdoors, on an unsheltered facade, this is advisable. Under a canopy or in a porch it can be omitted.
