How to replace the battery
Step by step according to the Ajax manual:
- Undo the locking screw that holds the keypad on the SmartBracket mounting plate.
- Take the device off the SmartBracket mounting plate.
- Switch off the KeyPad Plus.
- Undo the screws and remove the back panel.
- Insert four new AA lithium batteries and observe the polarity.
- Put the back panel back and tighten the screws.
- Switch the device on and check the battery status in the Ajax app. The status does not update immediately, but after the next ping (every 36 seconds by default).
- After replacing them, test that it works by arming and disarming the alarm system.
