Ajax SpeakerPhone: listen in, speak back and help faster
A wireless two-way voice module that allows the alarm receiving centre to listen in and speak back immediately when an alarm is triggered. This allows an alert to be assessed faster, residents to be reassured, and an intruder to be deterred while help is on its way.
In the event of an alarm, the hub automatically activates the SpeakerPhone. An encrypted VoRF protocol creates a full-duplex voice connection: the operator hears what is happening and speaks into the room. Thanks to AI voice optimisation, the voice sounds clear and ambient noise is suppressed, up to about 10 metres away. Useful in cases of burglary, fire, panic alerts or unwanted visitors.
Why the SpeakerPhone
Listen in and speak back
Full-duplex voice via the VoRF protocol, with a call duration that can be set up to 10 minutes per call.
Clear voice
AI voice optimisation suppresses ambient noise, so the message remains intelligible up to about 10 metres.
Loud and clear
The 3 W loudspeaker delivers up to 103 dB, with a frequency range of 200 Hz to 16 kHz.
Long range
Wireless up to 1700 m between hub and SpeakerPhone in open terrain, with an encrypted connection.
Flexible power supply
On the four pre-installed CR123 batteries or optionally on 12 V, with the batteries serving as a back-up.
Secure and tamper-resistant
Device authentication against spoofing, encrypted data traffic and detection of opening or removal.
From alarm to conversation within seconds
1. Detection
In the event of an alarm, for example motion, smoke or a panic button, the hub automatically activates the SpeakerPhone.
2. Connection
The VoRF protocol creates a full-duplex voice connection with the alarm receiving centre.
3. Communication
The operator assesses the situation, reassures residents or addresses an intruder.
4. Action
With verified information, the right help can be dispatched faster.

Quick to install with SmartBracket
Mount the SpeakerPhone indoors, at a height of approximately 1,6 metres near the entrance or a central room, for the best speech intelligibility. Use the supplied SmartBracket with screws and wall plugs. The batteries are already installed, so you pair it with your hub via the QR code in the Ajax app and configure everything remotely. Do you want a continuous power supply? Then connect it to 12 V (1 A); the batteries then serve as a back-up.

Frequently asked questions about the SpeakerPhone
What exactly does the Ajax SpeakerPhone do?
During an alarm, the alarm receiving centre can listen in and talk back via the SpeakerPhone. This allows the situation to be assessed more quickly and an intruder to be addressed while help is on its way.
Which hubs does it work with?
The SpeakerPhone works with the Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller, Hub 2 Plus Jeweller and Hub Hybrid (4G).
How good is the speech intelligibility?
Thanks to AI speech optimisation, voices sound clear and background noise is suppressed. The 3 W loudspeaker delivers up to 103 dB and the voice remains clearly audible up to approximately 10 metres.
Does it work without mains power?
Yes. By default it runs on the four pre-installed CR123 batteries, good for up to 3 years of standby or approximately 12 hours of talk time. Optionally, you can connect 12 V (1 A), in which case the batteries serve as a back-up.
Is the connection secure?
Yes. Device authentication prevents spoofing, data traffic is encrypted, and tampering such as opening or removal is detected and reported.
