Dahua

What is Dahua?

Dahua develops security solutions for homes, shops, offices, business premises and other locations. The range extends from security cameras and recorders to video doorbells, intercom systems, network equipment and the wireless AirShield alarm system.

This allows you to match the various parts of your security to one another. For example, combine Dahua cameras with an NVR for local storage of footage, or extend your security with a video doorbell and an AirShield alarm.

Which Dahua camera suits your situation?

Dahua has security cameras for a wide range of applications. Which camera suits best depends on, among other things, the location, the desired viewing angle, the mounting position and the distance at which you want to recognise people or events.

Turret cameras

Turret cameras have a compact housing and are suitable for many indoor and outdoor applications. They are easy to aim and are often mounted under a facade, eaves or ceiling.

Dome cameras

Dome cameras have a rounded housing and are relatively unobtrusive. They are suitable for prestigious locations, shops, offices and other spaces where a neat finish is important.

Bullet cameras

Bullet cameras have a clearly visible, elongated housing. Because of their conspicuous shape they also act as a deterrent, and they are suitable for monitoring façades, driveways and grounds.

PTZ cameras

A PTZ camera can pan, tilt and zoom remotely. This type of camera is suitable for larger sites and for situations where you want to actively view different areas.

Wi-Fi cameras

A Wi-Fi camera connects to the network wirelessly. Bear in mind that the camera still needs a power supply and that a stable network connection remains important.

Storing camera footage with a Dahua NVR

A Network Video Recorder, abbreviated to NVR, collects and stores the footage from connected IP cameras. From the recorder you can watch live and search for previously recorded footage via a monitor, smartphone, tablet or computer.

When choosing an NVR, pay attention to the number of camera connections, the maximum resolution, the storage capacity you need and the required network functions. Also take future expansion into account. A recorder with extra channels means you will not immediately need a new NVR when you add cameras later.

A longer retention period requires more storage capacity. The capacity you need depends on the number of cameras, the resolution, the frame rate and the way in which footage is recorded.

Secure your premises with Dahua AirShield

AirShield is the wireless alarm system from Dahua. The system consists of a central hub to which you connect wireless motion detectors, door and window contacts, sirens and control devices.

You manage AirShield in the free Dahua DMSS app, without a mandatory subscription. From the app you can operate the system and receive alarm notifications. Start with an individual hub or starter kit and add extra components later.

The AirShield range includes indoor detection, outdoor detection, control devices, sirens, expansion modules and power supply modules.

Secures is an AirShield partner. We can not only supply the system, but also have it professionally installed and configured.

Dahua video doorbells and intercoms

With a Dahua video doorbell you can see who is at the door via the DMSS app. You receive a notification when someone rings the bell and can communicate directly with the visitor via two-way audio.

The Dahua video doorbell offers sharp 4MP video and smart person detection. The doorbell is available in white and black and can be ordered on its own or as a kit with a wireless chime. No subscription is needed to use the DMSS app.

For more extensive applications you can choose a Dahua intercom system. This combines an outdoor station or door station with an indoor station. This is suitable, for example, for homes, apartments, offices and business premises where visitors must first be seen and admitted.

Complete your Dahua installation

A reliable camera system also requires a stable network and the correct mounting. With a suitable network switch you connect multiple IP cameras to your network.

A PoE switch can supply compatible cameras with both data and power over the same network cable. This means you do not need to install a separate power socket at each camera.

In addition, use suitable camera accessories and mounting materials to install cameras securely and neatly. These include mounting brackets, junction boxes and other accessories that help to better protect cable connections.
