ASB1C-B enclosure with power supply for access controller
The ASB1C-B is a galvanised steel cabinet from Dahua for housing an access controller, with a built-in power supply and space for a backup battery. If the mains power fails, the battery takes over, so the doors remain managed. The cabinet reports tampering and power failures to the controller.
What this enclosure does
- Galvanised steel cabinet for neatly and securely installing a Dahua access controller
- Built-in power supply: 100-240 V mains input, 15 V DC / 4 A output for the controller
- Space for a 12 V / 7 Ah backup battery, so the doors remain managed during a power failure
- Reports mains power failure, battery status and tampering to the connected controller
- Built-in circuit breaker that limits the current, plus interior lighting
- For indoor, surface-mounted installation; the controller firmware can be updated from within the cabinet

Frequently asked questions
Is the backup battery included?
No, the cabinet has space for a 12 V / 7 Ah battery, but you order it separately. With the battery fitted, the access system keeps working if the mains power fails.
Which controller fits inside?
The cabinet is made for a Dahua access controller. Whether your controller fits exactly depends on the model; tell us which controller you have or want, and we will find the right combination.
Why an enclosure with power supply and battery?
This keeps the controller, the power supply and the backup together in a lockable metal cabinet, protected against tampering. If the power fails, the battery takes over and the doors remain managed.
Can the cabinet be mounted outdoors?
No, this is an indoor cabinet. Place it in a lockable room within the secured zone and keep the reader cabling separate from mains-voltage wiring.
