Power supply for the VTNS2003B-2
The mains adapter that belongs with the 2-wire switch VTNS2003B-2: 48 volts direct current, 1,25 amperes. Without a power supply the switch does nothing, as none is included.
The adapter is installed indoors, next to the switch in the meter cupboard. A mains power cable is included.
What you will receive
The set consists of the following components:
- Adapter: the power supply itself
- Mains power cord: for the wall socket
What you can count on
- 48 volts, 1,25 amperes: the value the VTNS2003B-2 requires
- Mains power 100 to 240 volts: standard wall socket
- Indoor installation: the adapter belongs in the meter cupboard, not outdoors
- 6 x 4.3 mm plug: fits the connection on the switch
Pay attention to the voltage
Pay attention to the voltage: the 2-wire switch runs on 48 volts. A 24 volt power supply delivers too little and causes the installation to fail at a distance, even if it appears to work nearby.

Frequently asked questions
Is this power supply included with the switch?
No. The VTNS2003B-2 is supplied without a power supply; you order it separately.
Can I also use a 24 volt power supply?
No. The switch requires 48 volts. With a lower voltage, the installation will not reach the distance to the door, and that is a fault that only shows up later.
Do I need a more powerful power supply?
With more connected stations, yes. There is also a 48 volt version with 5 amps, the EDP-240-48, which also fits on a DIN rail.
