What this camera does
The Dahua HDW3849QM-S-IL Black 8MP Smart Dual Light Eyeball 2.8 mm lens makes surveillance clear and simple. Smart Dual Light switches automatically between inconspicuous infrared and warm white light when motion is detected. This gives you clear, colourful images by day and at night, without disruptive light when it is not needed. The strong WDR technology keeps details visible against bright backlight, while the 2.8 mm wide-angle lens offers a wide field of view. Installation is simple via PoE: power and data over a single network cable. The result: less hassle, more certainty.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and route the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
