WD Purple hard drive for security
Security storage without compromise
WD Purple drives are designed to meet the challenges of 24×7 recording for video surveillance. These drives are designed specifically for security applications, so that they can help withstand the increased temperature fluctuations and equipment vibrations within NVR environments. An average desktop hard drive is intended to run for short periods at a time, not continuously, unlike in the demanding security environment of a high-resolution security system that is active day and night. With WD Purple drives you have reliable security-grade storage that has been tested for compatibility in a wide range of security systems. Exclusive AllFrame™ technology helps to reduce frame loss and improve overall video playback.

Does what it should do. I already had one in the other NVR. But I bought a new one for the Ajax NVR.
