How to replace the battery
Step by step according to the Ajax manual:
- Switch off the external power supply (if connected).
- Remove the detector from the SmartBracket mounting plate.
- Switch the device off by holding the power button for 3 seconds; the detector flashes three times.
- Undo the two screws and remove the back panel of the detector.
- Replace both CR123A batteries and observe the polarity.
- Refit the back cover and tighten the screws.
- Switch the device on and check the battery status in the Ajax app. The status does not update immediately, but after the next ping (every 36 seconds by default).
