M&C adjustable door furniture with dirt and insect protection
If you live near the beach or in a wooded area, dirt, sand and insects easily get into the cylinder. With this fitting, a spring-loaded cover seals the cylinder. This prevents wear and corrosion, and extends the life of the cylinder. In coastal areas the cover also protects against sand and salt.
The fitting is also ideal with a smart lock: the cylinder is then rarely operated with the key and can stay closed against dirt, insects and weather. The same applies to doors that are rarely used.
Fits the existing holes, stronger than standard door furniture
The screw studs of the M&C door furniture are adjustable and fit the existing screw holes. This allows you to replace most common door furniture without drilling extra holes in the door. The outer furniture is fixed to the outer plate with 9 screws instead of the usual 3, and the lever and knob are made of solid metal.
The burglary resistance remains fully assured: the fitting is SKG*** approved. Available as lever/lever and knob/lever in nickel F9 and black.

Scope of delivery
Lever/lever: outer plate, inner plate, 2 levers, 2 lever pins, 2 mounting rings, a set of short and a set of long hex bolts with domed head, one short and one long hex bolt with countersunk head, and 3 and 4 mm hex keys.
Knob/lever: outer plate, inner plate, knob (handle), lever, 2 change pins, 2 large mounting rings, a small handle ring, the same sets of hex bolts and 3 and 4 mm hex keys.
The short bolts are for doors up to 48 mm thick, the long ones for doors from 49 to 55 mm.
Frequently asked questions about the fitting with dirt and insect protection
Do I need to drill new holes in the door?
Usually not. The screw studs are adjustable from 200 to 215 mm and therefore fit the existing screw holes of most common door furniture.
Will it fit my door?
The door furniture fits doors from 38 to 55 mm thick, with a PC size of 55 or 72 mm. The PC size is the distance between the centre of the lever and the centre of the cylinder.
Which cylinder goes with it?
Any euro profile cylinder. For the best protection, M&C recommends using the door furniture in combination with an M&C cylinder; you can put one together to size in our M&C configurator.
How does the cover work?
The cover for the cylinder is attached with a spring. As a result it seals the cylinder well; to use the key you push it aside, after which it springs back.
Is this fitting suitable for use with a smart lock?
Yes, according to M&C it is ideal for that. With a smart lock you rarely use the key on the outside, so the cylinder stays closed most of the time.
