The mounting box that puts the door station on the wall instead of in it. You need it whenever you do not want to, or cannot, chase into the wall.
Purpose
When you need it
- For surface mounting: the station goes on the wall, nothing needs to be chased out
- Only for the VTO6531H: the box is made for that model and does not fit other stations
- Not for flush mounting: if you put the station in the wall, the flush mounting box belongs with it
- Not when replacing: if a box is already there and it is intact, you only replace the station

Frequently asked questions
Do I always need this box?
No. Only for surface mounting. If the station goes into the wall, you use the flush mounting box, and when replacing an existing station the box that is there can usually stay in place.
Does this box fit another door station?
No, it is made for the VTO6531H. Other stations have their own box; tell us the type and we will find the right one.
Is the box weatherproof?
It is made for outdoor mounting on the facade, like the door station itself. Seal the edges neatly during installation so that no water collects behind it.
