This robust dome camera is built for continuous use, gives clear notifications via the app and offers flexible power supply via ePoE, PoE+, 12VDC or 24VAC.
What this camera does
The Dahua HDBW7442E1-Z-X combines professional image quality with simple operation. You can zoom the motorised lens (2.7-12 mm) in and out remotely, so you can always choose the right viewing angle. Thanks to Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), details remain visible in backlit conditions, while powerful night functions provide clear images in the dark. The advanced WizMind AI recognises people and vehicles, so you receive fewer false alerts and can respond faster. Via the DMSS app you receive push notifications directly, with a snapshot or video clip for quick alarm verification. And with a microSD card of up to 512 GB you can store many recordings locally, without an extra recorder.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card of up to 512 GB fits in the camera. Convenient for a single camera. If you want to review footage over a longer period or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and IK10 and is therefore made for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and feed the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
