What this camera does
The SD49225DB-HNY combines speed, precision and smart detection in one compact dome. The pan/tilt/zoom control responds instantly and smoothly, so that you have the right detail in view with a single click. This model is designed exclusively for continuous use, with protection against weather and lightning, perfect for driveways, business premises, loading docks and shop fronts.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card of up to 512 GB fits in the camera. Convenient for a single camera. If you want to review footage over a longer period or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP66 and is therefore made for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and wall plugs, and route the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with Dahua's free DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is provided.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
