Dahua SD1A404DB-GNY 4MP Starlight WizSense 4x Zoom Mini-PTZ 2.8-12mm Motorised zoom lens
This compact mini PTZ delivers 4MP detail, powerful Starlight performance in low light and a 4x optical zoom that brings subjects closer without loss of quality.
What this camera does
This mini PTZ combines compact dimensions with professional features. The 2.8-12 mm motorised zoom lens zooms in smoothly, while Starlight technology provides a clear image as the light fades. WizSense specifically recognises people and vehicles, so you are troubled less by false alerts. The result: an exclusive level of certainty at a surprisingly sharp price.
- 4MP image quality: sharp, clear video images with rich detail, ideal for faces, number plates and critical scenes.
- Starlight performance: clear, true-colour image in low light, with smart noise reduction for a calm picture.
- 4x optical zoom (2.8-12 mm): zoom in without loss of quality; motorised zoom provides fast and precise framing.
- Smooth PTZ control: pan range 0°, 355° and tilt 5°, 90° for near-complete coverage.
- Speed when it counts: manual panning 0.1°, 70°/s and tilting 0.1°, 30°/s; presets up to 80°/s (pan) and 40°/s (tilt).
- 300 presets and 8 tours: create fixed positions and automatic patrols (up to 32 presets per tour) for smart surveillance of multiple zones.
- WizSense detection: smart recognition of people and vehicles for targeted alerts and fewer false alarms.
- Wide dynamic range: balanced images in backlit conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
- Efficient storage with Smart H.265+: save bandwidth and storage without visible loss of quality.
- Local recording: microSD card support for backup recordings, even in the event of network problems.
- PoE power: one network cable for data and power, for quick and tidy installation.
- Weatherproof and built for continuous use: robust housing for reliable performance in a wide range of conditions.
- Privacy zones and security functions: masks, tamper detection and motion detection for added peace of mind.
- Open integration: compatible with common VMS and NVR solutions for flexible deployment.
- Auto tracking: no (a deliberate choice for stable performance and simple operation).

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
