Dahua HFW7842H-Z4-X ePoE 8MP D/N IR WDR Bullet 8-32mm Motorised Zoom Lens
This 8MP bullet camera combines Full-Color Deeplight with smart AI (WizMind) for fewer false alarms and greater certainty. The powerful 8-32 mm motorised zoom lens brings detail forward from a distance, ideal for driveways, sites, docks or parking bays. With ePoE, PoE+, 12VDC or 24VAC you can easily choose the power supply that suits you, while real-time app notifications give you Direct insight into what is happening.
What this camera does
The Dahua HFW7842H-Z4-X is built for value and reliability. Full-Color Deeplight provides a colour image 24/7. In the dark, the smart dual illumination switches to discreet infrared and turns on bright white light when an event occurs, for immediately recognisable details. The WizMind AI recognises people and vehicles, so you only receive alerts that matter. Thanks to the 8-32 mm motorised zoom, you can focus on an access gate, loading area or long driveway with a single tap. True 120 dB WDR delivers clear images in strong backlight, and with Smart H.265 you save considerably on storage and bandwidth. ePoE allows longer cable runs of up to several hundred metres, which reduces installation costs and makes the camera more flexible.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card of up to 512 GB fits in the camera. Convenient for a single camera. If you want to review footage over a longer period or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and route the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
