What this camera does
The Dahua HDBW2241E-S combines clear 2MP (1080p) imaging with infrared night vision for reliable surveillance, 24/7. The fixed 2.8 mm lens gives a wide viewing angle, suitable for an entrance, driveway or office space. Smart features such as Smart Motion Detection and AI perimeter protection (such as virtual line and intrusion detection) ensure that you only receive notifications that matter. With support for microSD cards up to 256 GB, you can record locally only, without additional equipment. The robust IK10/IP67 housing ensures performance in rain and dust and against tampering attempts. PoE power makes installation simple: one network cable for power and data.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
No, with PoE, power and video run over the same network cable. Your recorder or switch must then supply PoE. If it does not, the camera can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can I record without a recorder?
Yes, a microSD card up to 256 GB fits in the camera. Handy for a single camera. If you want to look back further or view several cameras together, a recorder is the better choice.
Can this camera be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP67 and IK10 and is therefore made for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs, and feed the cable through the supplied cable gland so that no moisture reaches the connection.
Does the camera work with my phone?
Yes, with the free Dahua DMSS app you can watch live, play back recordings and receive notifications. The link to the app is under the Downloads tab.
Which mounting parts do I need?
That depends on the surface. The parts that Dahua lists for this model are shown under "Frequently bought together" on this page. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you check.
