Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate power supply?
With PoE, power and data run over the same network cable, so you do not need a power socket at the panel. Your switch or recorder must then supply PoE. If it does not, the panel can run on a separate 12 V power supply.
Can this panel be mounted outdoors?
Yes. The housing is IP65 and is therefore made for outdoor use. Mount it with screws and plugs that suit the surface, and make sure the cable enters through the cable entry so that no moisture reaches the connection.
How do I give someone access?
This model works with a card reader. You record per person who may open the door, and you can revoke this later. Would you like to know whether your locks and door opener are compatible with it? Call or email us and we will look into it with you.
Which cable do I need?
Network cable of at least category 5e, installed as fixed wiring. For outdoor use or underground, choose a cable that is made for that purpose. If you are unsure, call or email us and we will help you decide.
