AirShield PIR-Cam Module: add a camera to your Outdoor PIR
The AirShield PIR-Cam Module is a compact camera module that you mount on top of the AirShield Outdoor PIR. This adds visual verification to an outdoor detector you already have, without replacing the detector.
When an alarm is triggered, the module captures an image with a resolution of up to 1280 × 960 (approx. 1.3 MP). Thanks to the day/night function, it switches automatically between colour in daylight and black and white in the dark, with built-in infrared illumination up to 15 m.

Mount the module on top of the AirShield Outdoor PIR; power is supplied via the detector (3 VDC). This lets you upgrade an existing outdoor detector to camera images.

Which outdoor detection suits you?
If you only want to detect movement outdoors, choose the Outdoor PIR. If you also want an image with it, take the Outdoor PIR-Cam with built-in camera. If you already have an Outdoor PIR, you can still add a camera with the separate PIR-Cam Module.

The Outdoor PIR and Outdoor PIR-Cam work wirelessly on 868 MHz with two-way communication and AES128, and pair with the AirShield hub. The PIR-Cam Module is not a standalone detector: you mount it on an Outdoor PIR and it is powered by it.

An immediate notification in the DMSS app
As soon as an outdoor detector is triggered, the AirShield hub sends a push notification to your phone. In the free Dahua DMSS app you can see which detector was triggered and, in the case of a camera, the photo straight away. No subscription, on iPhone and Android.

This outdoor detector works with the wireless AirShield hub from Dahua. Put your system together with the configurator, or have everything installed by our VEB-approved installers.

What is this module for?
To extend an AirShield Outdoor PIR you already have with a camera, so that you also receive an image when an alarm is triggered. If you do not have an outdoor detector yet, the Outdoor PIR-Cam with built-in camera is usually the logical choice.
Does the module work on its own?
No. The module is not a standalone detector; it mounts on the Outdoor PIR and is powered by it (3 VDC). The Outdoor PIR does the detection.
Does the camera also work in the dark?
Yes. Built-in infrared illumination gives visibility up to 15 m, with automatic switching to night image.
Is the module suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, the housing has protection rating IP66 and operates from -25 to +60 degrees.
