Texecom SmartCom Pro enclosure: the cabinet around your communicator
The SmartCom Pro modules are supplied without an enclosure. This enclosure is the matching Texecom cabinet and is made in accordance with EN 50131. It keeps your communicator protected and housed in a tamper-resistant way, which you need for a certified installation.
The enclosure fits all SmartCom Pro models: the SmartCom Pro (CEN-0001), the SmartCom Pro 4G (CEP-0001) and the SmartCom Pro DR (CEQ-0001).
Why this enclosure
According to EN 50131
The enclosure is built to EN 50131, the European standard for intruder alarm systems. Texecom requires the module to be housed in a tamper-resistant enclosure; this is the enclosure intended for that purpose.
For the entire SmartCom Pro range
One enclosure for all three models: CEN-0001, CEP-0001 and CEQ-0001. Dimensions 126 × 180 × 35 mm, weight 200 g.
Four mounting points
Secure the enclosure at all four mounting points. This is not optional: only then does the installation remain compliant with EN 50131 and EN 50136.

Does this enclosure fit all SmartCom Pro models?
Yes. Texecom specifies this enclosure for all SmartCom Pro products: the CEN-0001, the CEP-0001 and the CEQ-0001.
Is a module included?
No, this is the enclosure only. The communicator must be ordered separately.
Do I need this enclosure?
For EN 50131 and EN 50136, the module must be housed in a tamper-resistant enclosure. This may also be the cabinet of your alarm panel, provided the module fits in it properly. If there is no room, or the communicator is installed separately, this enclosure is the appropriate solution.
Does the enclosure also fit the older SmartCom?
Texecom specifies this enclosure for the SmartCom Pro range. It is not listed for the older SmartCom Cloud models; please ask us if you have that situation.
