Optex FMX-DST dual-tech PIR indoor detector
The FMX-DST is a high-performance indoor PIR motion detector for (high-end) applications in homes and light commercial settings. The FMX series features a Plug-in End of Line Unit (PEU) for easier, faster installation. The FMX-DST model offers extra stability in bright sunlight.
The FMX has 78 high-density zones covering the entire detection area. At every point within the detection area, more than 4 (quad) zones are used. These are used to verify whether an alarm should be generated. In addition, the CORE processor in the FMX series improves the Quad Zone Logic by means of digital quantification of infrared energy. This makes it possible to distinguish even better between people and small animals.
Dual conductive shielding
The dual conductive shielding on the FMX-DST prevents false alarms in an advanced way. RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) and light sources are blocked, while infrared energy is passed through the element.
Advanced temperature compensation logic
The FMX-DST automatically increases the sensitivity of the detector at high temperatures, in particular when the ambient temperature is between 35 and 37 °C, which does not differ much from human body temperature.
