This bullet combines a standard 4 megapixel day and night camera with a separate thermal sensor. You look at two images at the same time: the recognisable colour image that shows who or what is there, and the thermal image that shows how warm it is there.
With a thermal field of view of 17.3 degrees and a 12mm optical lens. The camera measures the temperature of what it sees and raises an alarm itself as soon as a limit you have set is exceeded.

Why a thermal camera
Heat instead of light
The thermal sensor measures emitted heat. Complete darkness, strong backlight, smoke or fog make no difference to it.
Recognises people and vehicles
The WizSense analytics distinguish people and vehicles from moving branches or rain, so you are notified only when something is really there.
Powered via PoE
One network cable for image and power at the same time. No separate power wire to the camera.
Applications
What it is used for
Most applications are in fire prevention: heat appears before smoke or flames.
A connection in a switch cabinet that is running hot, a smouldering part in a waste bunker, a battery that is getting too warm, a junction box on a solar park or a charging point that stays at temperature for too long. This camera is also used for perimeter protection on sites where a standard camera falls short at night or in poor weather.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from a standard camera?
A standard camera needs light. This camera measures heat, and therefore works in complete darkness, in strong backlight and through smoke or fog. The optical part also provides the recognisable colour image that shows who or what is there.
Can it raise an alarm itself in case of overheating?
Yes. You set which temperature is still normal; if something exceeds that limit, the camera reports it by itself. Nobody has to watch it permanently.
Can I connect it to my existing recorder?
Yes, it is a standard IP camera with PoE. It works with Dahua recorders and with the DMSS app. Please feel free to ask us if you are unsure about your recorder.
Why do I see two images?
This is a hybrid camera with two sensors in one housing: an optical one and a thermal one. You can view both streams separately or side by side.
