Junction box that fits behind the camera. The cables run into it and stay out of sight and out of the rain.
This is the corrosion-resistant version from Dahua's anti-corrosion range. That range is intended for locations where ordinary mounting materials fail in the long run: on the coast, at swimming pools, in the food industry and in other places with salt or aggressive fumes. If the camera is on a standard façade inland, the standard version is sufficient and works out cheaper.

In salty or aggressive air: coastal areas, marinas, swimming pools, the food industry. On a standard façade inland, the standard version lasts for years and is the more sensible choice.
Can I combine this with standard mounting parts?
Technically this is possible, but the weakest part then determines the result. If you choose this range, it is advisable to use the same version for the entire installation.
