Network recorder for eight cameras with PoE on board
A recorder for eight IP cameras that also powers the cameras itself: eight PoE ports, so one network cable per camera and no separate power supply on the facade.
This is the XI/Pro with the heavy AI on board. The recorder does the processing itself, even if the camera cannot: face recognition, area monitoring and distinguishing people from vehicles on eight channels at the same time.
The face database can hold up to twenty lists and two hundred thousand faces. This makes it a recorder for a business or a property with access control, not for a garden shed.
What this recorder does
- Eight PoE ports: camera and power over the same cable
- Facial recognition by the recorder: eight channels, up to 200,000 faces in 20 databases
- Distinguishing people and vehicles: SMD Plus and perimeter protection on eight channels
- AcuPick: on eight channels: search back on what you saw, not on time
- Cameras up to 32 megapixel: including panoramic and multi-sensor cameras
- Ample bandwidth: 512 Mbit/s incoming and recording, 384 Mbit/s outgoing
- Two hard drives: each up to 26 TB
Hard drives sold separately
The hard drives are not included. With eight cameras recording continuously, this is the item you will spend the most time on, because it determines how many days you can look back.
AI by the recorder works on eight channels. If the cameras perform the analysis themselves, this can be done on more channels at the same time; the two complement each other.

Frequently asked questions
Do I still need a PoE switch?
No. The eight ports on the recorder power the cameras. If a camera is more than one hundred metres away, you will need a switch or an extender.
Are the hard drives included?
No. There is room for two drives of up to 26 TB each. How many you need depends on the number of cameras, the resolution and the number of days you want to keep footage; we are happy to calculate it for you.
What does AI by the recorder mean?
That the recorder itself recognises faces and assesses behaviour, even with cameras that cannot do this. You can therefore use simpler cameras and still receive smart notifications.
Why does it sometimes say XI and sometimes XI/Pro?
For this eight-channel version, Dahua now only supplies the Pro. If you still come across the plain XI in a price list or at a distributor, it is the same recorder.
Does this work with cameras from another brand?
Through ONVIF, many cameras from other brands work for live view and recording. The AI functions and AcuPick only work properly with cameras designed for them.
