Complete 2-wire intercom for surface mounting
A set for an installation over two wires: the door station, a 7 inch indoor monitor, the 2-wire switch for the meter cupboard and the surface-mount box. Intended for situations where existing bell wiring can be reused.
The door station has a camera with a 168-degree field of view. That is wide enough to also see who is standing beside the door, or what is happening on the pavement.
What is in the box
The set consists of the following components:
- VTO2202F-P-S3: the door station with a 2 megapixel camera and anodised aluminium front
- VTH5422HW: the indoor monitor, 7 inch touchscreen
- VTNS2003B-2: the 2-wire switch that carries the signal and power over two wires
- VTM115: the surface-mount box for the door station
What you can count on
- Wide angle: 168 degrees horizontally, with WDR against strong backlight
- Automatic infrared: the lighting switches on by itself in the dark
- Expandable: the switch supports up to twenty indoor monitors and two door stations
- Door control: lock control, exit button and door status detection on board
- 12 volt output: 600 mA, for example for an electric lock
What to look out for
The 2-wire switch in this set runs on 48 volts, and Dahua lists the power adapter as optional. Expect to need it separately. For up to six indoor monitors and one door station, the 1.25 A version is sufficient.
The IP65 rating of the door station only applies once the housing has been sealed with silicone sealant during installation.
An electric door opener is not included; it belongs to the door hardware.

Frequently asked questions
Is the power supply included?
Dahua lists the power adapter as optional, so assume you need to order it separately. The 2-wire switch runs on 48 volts; for an installation with up to six indoor monitors and one outdoor station, the 1.25 A version is sufficient.
Can I use my existing bell wiring?
That is what this set is made for. Two wires are enough and polarity does not matter. Allow 50 metres as the maximum distance between the switch and a station.
Can I add more stations later?
Yes. The switch supports up to twenty indoor monitors and two outdoor stations. Bear in mind that the power supply requirement grows with the system: with more than six stations you need the heavier version.
Why is this kit more expensive than the IP kits?
It contains a 2-wire switch instead of a PoE switch, and the door station is the heavier version with an aluminium front. With it, you gain the option of reusing existing cabling.
