WD Purple
Hard drives made for continuous recording
A standard computer drive is built for office hours, whereas a camera recorder writes around the clock. The WD Purple series from Western Digital is made for the latter and handles several camera streams at the same time. There is also a microSD version for recording in the camera itself, as a backup if the network or the recorder fails.
